SCP SCIENCE is currently seeking a Production Planner to join our Production Supplies department.
Reports to: Production Manager- Supplies
Place of work: Baie D’Urfé (Montreal), Quebec, Canada
Responsibilities:
- Run reports from the ERP system such as WIP report, Stock report, etc.;
- Update the Master plan;
- Keep and update the records and information in the ERP system (safety stock level, standard time);
- Create/update the bill of materials for new or existing items;
- In charge of organizing paperwork, such as purchase orders, job orders, etc.;
- Create jobs for production;
- Monitor the production rates, manufacturing cost per item;
- Monitor the inventory for raw materials and subassemblies;
- Review purchase orders or job orders in order to maintain the proper stock levels;
- Follow the delivery schedules for raw materials from suppliers or/and from production;
- Coordinate the purchasing following customer orders and co-workers demands;
- Monitor the raw material prices.
Essential skills and knowledge:
- College level education in a relevant field;
- Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience; previous work experience in chemical manufacturing would be a plus;
- Proficient in working within a computerized environment: very good knowledge of Microsoft Office; planning software; knowledge of ERP systems would be an asset;
- Demonstrating knowledge and understanding of supply chain management;
- Possessing excellent mathematical abilities;
- Previous experience with database and data analysis;
- Highly organized and detail-oriented;
- Ability to manage overlapping projects and meet deadlines;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent communication abilities (written / oral) in both English and French;
- Persuasive and strong presentation skills.
